About us

we built the karaoke we wanted to go to

how it started

Anysing Goes started at a local choir, where the two of us met. Before long we were hosting karaoke nights at home. They were pretty amateur, and they were brilliant. The best part was watching people’s confidence grow from one song to the next, our own included.

We wanted to share that. So we added proper sound, a huge songbook and everything we’d learned about getting a nervous singer to their feet. The fun and the encouragement haven’t changed.

MEET THE HOSTS

leanne

By day I help big organisations cope with change, which turns out to be good training for getting a nervous first-timer onto a stage. Ask me to sing “S.O.B.” by Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and I won’t need asking twice. Or “Jackson”, if my husband Dan is up for a duet.

vikki

Public servant by day, public nuisance by night! I’ve been a thespian all my life, though I’m more Rocky Horror than Les Mis. I’m a belter, so anything loud works for me (and Bobby McGee). I’ll also bust out the odd ballad, and I love seeing people get up, have a crack and enjoy themselves.

behind the scenes

DAN

I’m the AV one, with more than 20 years in the industry. I set everything up and check it looks and sounds just right, then leave Leanne and Vikki to it. Singing is their thing, though with a bit of Dutch courage I’ve been known to do a mean Minnie the Moocher.

KARAOKE WAS NEVER THE PROBLEM.

BAD KARAOKE WAS.

We treat the night with the same care as a good live-music night: quality sound, thoughtful production and hosts who make everyone feel part of it, whether they sing or just watch.
